Army Emergency Relief (AER) helps soldiers and their families overcome financial emergencies. AER is where soldiers are stationed when they needed help. Active duty soldiers receive the bulk of the assistance, retired soldiers and widows/widowers are also helped. An education scholarship program provides financial support for both dependent children and spouses.
